Starting over, on purpose

Every few years I decide I need a place to write things down that isn't a Slack thread, a Google Doc nobody opens again, or a comment buried in a Terraform module. This is that place, for this round.

What goes here

Mostly three things:

• Cloud infrastructure — the parts that are boring until they page you at 2am.
• AI systems — what actually works in production versus what demos well.
• Post-mortems of my own decisions — including the bad ones, which are more useful.

No newsletter popup. No "5 minute read to unlock your potential." Just notes.

About the domain

itsryannotai.com started as a joke about how often people assume a well-written message was machine-generated. It stopped being funny and started being useful, which is roughly the arc of most good jokes.

Everything here is written by me. If that ever changes, I'll say so at the top of the post.
